It’s Seed Week and native wildflowers have been blooming all spring! But did you know that you don’t have to go too far to catch a glimpse of these majestic superblooms?

Nursery Manager, Jack Smith shares great tips on how to create your own golden poppy superbloom in your yard.

Here’s some key things to know:

1. Be sure to hand-weed any invasive plants to ensure enough space for your native flowers and place them in the trash so they don’t spread more seeds.
2. Removing invasives helps break up soil that’s perfect to plant your poppy seeds.
3. Golden poppy flowers have short lives but leave a green bean-like seed pod for you to share seeds with your neighbors!
